ABTPA Grant Resources

The Auto Burglary and Theft Prevention Authority (ABTPA) awards financial grants to agencies, organizations, and concerned parties in an effort to raise public awareness of vehicle theft and burglary and implement education and prevention initiatives.

icon infoOn June 23, 2015, the ABTPA Board of Directors awarded grants for Fiscal Year 2016 programs designed to reduce the incidence of motor vehicle burglary and theft. This period includes, September 1, 2015 through August 31, 2016.

FY2016 Grant Awards

Application

The Automobile Burglary and Theft Prevention Authority (Authority or ABTPA) may consider issuance of the Fiscal Year 2017 (FY17) Request for Applications (RFA) to reduce the incidence of automobile burglary and theft in Texas at a regularly scheduled meeting held on February 24, 2016 if the Authority considers that there is sufficient interest of new applications.

To express interest, applicants that believe that they qualify may complete an Intent to Apply form located at www.txwatchyourcar.com under the tab Intent to Apply.
Only purposes provided for under Texas Revised Civil Statutes Article 4413(37) and consistent with the Authority may be provided in the Intent to Apply.

Intent to Apply Due Date
Eligible new applicants must submit a fully completed Intent to Apply form online on or before 5:00 PM February 23, 2016.

Grant
Workshop

Historically, ABTPA hosts a grant training workshop to provide applicants with information about the application process and the grant program. An update about ABTPA grant training will be available after February 23rd, 2016.
